From the Hearth A True Artisan Bakery

I found by accident this great family owned bakery. Spencer Tang owner and Linette Soderwall are the chief bakers at 4305 Caterpillar Rd. #A-7, Redding CA home to From The Hearth Bakery.
From The Hearth Bakery began as a passion for wholesale sourdough bread. With it’s unique mild flavor, this Classic Sourdough recipe brings to Redding a European bread with Old World style and flair. Each loaf is hand-crafted and baked for that unique taste experience.
Some of their products include;
Garlic Basil Parmesan , Rosemary Olive Oil , Seeded Sourdough, my favorite Jalapeno Cheddar and of course the Classic Sourdough.
In addition to these items everyday, they offer Cranberry Scones, a scone of the day and coming soon they will be offering freshly baked Cinnamon Rolls daily.
Open Monday - Friday 7:30 Am - 5 PM. Call for an order to be delivered at (530) 245-0466. I highly recommend visiting this unique bakery today.

Day in and Day out with Fire
Local News

With most of shasta county, and the surrounding counties covered by smoke, and small ash falling everywhere, it seems as there is no end to this fire activity. According to the latest statistics from CAL Fire California acreage burned now totals 752,944.
Evacuations are spread from Shasta County all the way to Butte County. In a time of such devastating moments, there are times of good that come out of this. So many people have opened their homes as shelter’s for housing animals, and they have donated their time to helping care for the animals. In time of such uncertainty for home owners it is a feeling of gratitude for them to know their animals are safe and well cared for.
With the county filled with firefighters from all over, you are almost guaranteed to pass at least one fire truck. Take the time thank them, honk your horn, wave. You may need their help someday and no matter what the situation they are always there to help. These men and women have been spreed thin threw out the state, with long hours and many fires burning we need to take the time out and appreciate the hard work they have been doing. Trinity and Shasta Counties have been reaching triple digit heat this past week, aiding the fires, and causing some injuries to fire fighters mostly heat illness.
The next few days don’t look to offer any relief from the triple digit heat,and with no rain in sight these fires may burn longer then anyone wishes them too.
